Schindler runs a mobile toolbox for their technicians, one that moves from station to station across Berlin. Since it's built for speed and sustainability, the communication design had to be just as flexible, ready to adapt wherever it landed next.

Schindler operates FlexPoint containers, mobile hubs stationed temporarily at central locations so technicians can reach their tools faster and get around by e-bike instead of getting stuck in traffic. It's a setup built for speed and sustainability, cutting both travel time and emissions across the city. Each time the container moves to a new station, its communication needs to be adapted to the new location and context.
Role & Contribution
Through C4 Berlin, I adapted the communication panel and prepared the print files for the new FlexPoint location at Gesundbrunnen station. This included redesigning the panels themselves as well as designing floor stickers to keep the parking spot the container occupies clear.
Key Design & Decisions
Because the container stands directly at a train station, I kept the design simple and chose materials carefully to minimize the risk of vandalism. Type size, QR code size, and placement were considered thoroughly to stay legible and functional at a busy public spot. The overall design was also aligned with DB's visual guidelines, since the location sits on Deutsche Bahn grounds.
The Outcome
There were no formal success metrics for this rollout, but the concept clearly worked, a further FlexPoint following the same approach was later set up in Charlottenburg. The design proved practical and adaptable enough to travel with the container to its next location.
